Act Like a GRRRL is an autobiographical writing program for teenage girls between the ages of 12 and 18. Act Like a Grrrl was founded with the intention of creating a supportive space for teen girls to safely become themselves while also exposing them to a group of professional female mentors living empowered lives. Through the act of writing, ALAG has been encouraging young women to have conversations with themselves and the world around them.
ALAG 2012 dates are June 4-29 with public performances on June 28 and 29.
Sessions are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
Cost is $700. Need based scholarships are available on a first-come basis.
The program takes place at Actors Bridge Studio at Neuhoff
with performances at Belmont’s Black Box Theater
